Laundry detergent doesn't have to be a jug, a scoop, or a mess. Tru Earth asked us to make the case for something smaller — one thin strip that does the whole job, without the plastic or the guesswork. The concept was simple by design: show people that easier and better can be the same thing.
Approach & Methodology
Blue isn't just a color choice. It's a signal. The entire set was built in a blue world — a deliberate environment that does the emotional work before the product even appears on screen. Clean. Cool. Uncomplicated. Everything in frame pointed the same direction.
The production centerpiece was a motion-control drop rig. A single strip falls, and the camera chases it — top-down, locked in focus, timed to trigger the moment the dropper released. Getting that sync right meant choreographing the robot arm and the dropper as one system. The strip hits the laundry load, the camera follows, and the viewer gets the whole story in a few seconds: one sheet, one load, nothing extra. Concept, casting, scripting, set design, rigging, and post all came from the same room at ILLUXION, which kept the creative logic consistent from the first frame to the last cut. The spot ran on CTV and returned a 4:1 ROAS — proof that a tight idea, executed with precision, doesn't need a large budget to move product.
